Atmosphere in ordinary objects and places is what inspires me to create. Using muted tones in a range of mediums I can evoke moods which capture the essence of a thing or a location.

 

Enjoyment from making is expressed through the marks on paper or canvas, likewise the technical challenge of the chosen medium. 

 

Surprised by the progression of a simple concept in sketchbook format, through to its development  of an idea, the process enables confidence, as I explore and develop techniques with the 

materials.
