Louise Candage - Wilkin
With my paintings, I try to invoke my own personal reaction to the subject. I like to capture the light of the moment and the feeling that first inspired me. Lately, I have been exploring the immediacy of acrylics using palette knives, sponges and glazing to achieve various special effects. Over the winter, I have been inspired to look at the mundane things in our lives such as potholes! My passions are Native American storytelling, drumming, meditation and traditional crafts. In my spare time I enjoy occasionally teaching arts and crafts, leading a fortnightly drumming circle and sharing my storytelling whenever invited.
