Ditherella's Workshop (Jenny)

Jenny makes sterling silver Jewellery, often using elements she has had cast from carefully chosen natural objects.

She also does woodwork with Men in Sheds and works with mild steel strip, and dabbles in many other things !

Jenny prefers to re-use wherever possible. The silver she buys is recycled. Her work comes in metal tins which are endlessly repurposed and recyclable. She is a rescuer of abandoned things.

She carries one of her tins in her pocket to hold interesting things she picks up, from the perfect acorn cup, to a nicely rusted washer. She can't resist a good gnarly bit of wood, and never throws away a lolly stick. Some of these items are making their way into her work.

Jenny exhibits with Rugby Artists and Makers and with Rugby Artists Group. She regularly takes part in Warwickshire Open Studios Summer Art Weeks.

She has had several pieces of jewellery and small sculpture selected for exhibition in the Rugby Open at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum.

You can find pieces of Jenny's jewellery at Hatty Bakewell's cafe in Caldecott park, rugby, and at the Alex, James Street, Rugby
